Designed by Alexander Lippisch in the 1960's and 1970's, the X-114 was the third of such aircraft, following the X-112 and X-113. Trials began in April 1977, but although succesful, no orders were ever placed. The X-114 prototype was the only one ever built and was eventually lost in an accident. Photo by unknown.
