If you have been spotting at FRA, you may have noted the name of the village Zeppelinheim. The airport opened to aircraft and airships in July 1936 but its two huge airship hangars were already demolished in 1940. The Fw 200 Condor, D-ADHR Saarland, dates the photograph in July 1938 at the earliest. The second Ju 52 is D-ALUN Kurt Wintgens and the leftmost aircraft is a Ju 86 which can only be D-AJUU Vogelsberg. Photo from: Fortepan
