1981 was a bad year for ZK-GMD. In January it was was damaged in an out-landing at Pokeno. On April 25 after an aborted tandem tow, it crashed through a fence on the edge of Ardmore aerodrome and was written off. The tow plane and the other glider were not damaged. Bob Kerr photo
