Sold to Air Panama and almost 5 hours later than originally scheduled, FKZ stripped of its former Alliance markings departs off Rw 23 in the afternoon on ferry flight Southern Cross 2242. Its planned flight to Panama was via South East Asia, Europe, across the North Atlantic and down through North America.

End of an era - the second last service flight of the Fokker 50s in South Australia. Seen here departing on Alliance flight QQ9820 (call sign Unity 9820) this was a 30 minute scenic flight with seats raffled to lucky passengers. After returning, the aircraft was prepped for its last service return flight to mining town Olympic Dam. A couple of days later it was seen with titles removed and is one of three to depart Oz for service with Air Panama. Two more are stored at Adelaide Airport with reports that they will be dismantled at the airport with the remains to be trucked away as scrap.

Afternoon departure - Alliance flight Unity 3132 to Olympic Dam departed off Rw 05. At the time of uploading, Alliance generally used their one Fokker 70 or two Fokker 100s based in Adelaide on their scheduled mining centre services, but occasionally toted out one of their three Fokker 50s still based here.
