Siberia Airlines Flight 1812 was a commercial flight shot down by the Ukrainian Air Force over the Black Sea on 4 October 2001, en route from Tel Aviv, Israel to Novosibirsk, Russia. The aircraft carried 66 passengers and 12 crew members. There were no survivors. The accident resulted from combat-missile launches during joint Ukrainian-Russian military air-defence exercises. Ukraine eventually admitted that it might have caused the crash, probably by an errant S-200 missile fired by its armed forces.

Delivered to Aeroflot/ West Siberia in March 1991 in Aeroflot cs. Leased to Iran AirTour (EP-ITG) in March '93, until July '94. Back to Sibir (RA-85693) in December'94. Written off on 04 Oct 2001 on a flight from Tel Aviv to Novosibirsk when hit and destroyed by a stray S-200 SAM (which had been fired by the Ukrainian Air Defence Forces during an exercise on the Crimea) and crashed into the Black Sea 184 km from Sochi airport.
