This Mirage IIIS was accepted by the Schweizer Luftwaffe on 19 April 1966. It was withdrawn from use and stored at Stans-Buochs in 2000 and the noted stored with the Musée Européen de l'Aviation de Chasse at Montéli- mar (France) from May 2003 onwards.

At the end of its career the Mirages received staffel badges back, that they had received when they came into service. The reason was that with the introduction of the Hornet with Fl St 11, 17 and 18 the Mirages were relegated to second line duties with Fl St 16, that became a militia staffel then.
