Airframe was built in 1965 and delivered to United States Air Force, USAF 7th TRS (67th TRW), USAF 62nd TRS (363rd TRW) (1976-77), USAF 18th TRS (363rd TRW) (1977). Was transferred to the Spanish AF as CR.12-42 (11/1978). Struck off charge (3/11/1991). Currently preserved at the Museo del Aire

This is former USAF RF-4C 65-0937 that was delivered to Spain in November 1978. It was the only RF-4C of the four that had been delivered in 1978 that was still operational during our visit to Torrejon in July 1989. By then, the Spanish Air Force had just received eight "new" former USAF RF-4Cs. This one was wfu in March 1991 and is now preserved in the museum at Cuatro Vienteos. This photo was taken by Paul Geerts as my camera sadly malfunctioned that day.
