Rolando Canedo founded Lineas Aereas Canedo to fly charters in Bolivia, with this C-46 and this restored C-117D, seen here stored at Cochabamba in 2013, after plans seemed to have paused.

The former US Navy C-117D 17190 made a very welcome stopover at Hato as CP-2421 on its way to its new owner in Bolivia, Lineas Aereas Canedo.

Rebuilt from c/n 12979 as an R4D-8 for the US Navy as 17190 in 1952. Redesignated as a C-117D in 1962. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code 6C042 in 1976. To Hawkins and Powers Aviation as N4504W in 1983. Reregistered as HI-545CT in 1984 then CP-2421 in 2002. Being restored for LAC Lineas Aereas Canedo.

Built as c/n 12979 for the USAAF as 42-93104. Converted to R-4D with a new c/n 43365. and allocated Bu17190 with the US Navy. Withdrawn and stored at Davis Monthan August 1976 - May 1983 when sold to Hawkins And Powers as N4504W. Registered as HI-545CT in 1987 and operated for TRADO until returned to the US as N545CT in the late 1990s. Bought by Lineas Aereas Canedo in 2002, immaculately restored by them and converted to passenger configuration at Cochabamba over one and a half years and at a cost of around $300,000 dollars.
