The 389th TFS briefly operated from Phu Cat AB, South Vietnam under the 12th TFW from March 1970 until October 1971 wearing the HB tailcode and a red tail stripe. This particular aircraft later went to the 52nd TFW at Spangdahlem and crashed with that unit on 6 July 1977.
