Finland ordered an enlarged variant of the T.VIIIW seaplane. This one was the first of two T.VIIIW/Cs built. By May 1940 it wore Dutch insignia and serial R-37, apparently requisitioned. 60 test flights under German control until damaged by storm. Finnish order meanwhile cancelled. Repaired aircraft flown to Travemünde in 1942. Stored and scrapped. Standard T.VIIIWs did see operational German service. Photo was taken near the Schellingwoude seaplane station, but the aircraft may have taxied from the Fokker factory in North Amsterdam to take off and land here.
