'Many people in uniform have gathered for a jet fighter breaking the sound barrier.' Elsewhere we found that this was about the arrival of officially the first Norwegian F-86K on 12 September 1955. USAF Capt Ray Renfro flew a display the next day. Deliveries - through Short - had really begun on 9 September. Apparently the telex printer in the Short Brothers office in Belfast was not the best: the squadron code of 337 Skv was ZK, but Shorts had painted ZX first - and then 'corrected' this to 2X!
