Operated by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Service from Irian Barat in Western New Guinea from 1942 to 1945 and recovered post-war from Babo airfield, built by the Dutch in the late 1920s

On display at Museum Pusat TNI-AU Dirgantara Mandala. This Type 52 was recovered from Babo, which was a relay airfield on West Papua. The 20 mm. gun barrels are missing on the Zero, as is the pitot tube. The Type 52 did not have the folding wingtip mechanism.
