Built in 1976 and imported in 1985. At this time it was Virden/MB based, but overwintering here by the look of it. In 2009 it was exported to Paraguay. (On this bitterly cold (but calm) day I flew the 120 miles from Winnipeg in the Skyhawk behind. The trick was to keep the camera from freezing otherwise the film could break when wound and static discharge flashing, due to low humidity, could ruin the image.)

Delivered new to the RCAF in 1948 as serial 18002. Subsequently sold off to a civilian owner and at some point had a six-cylinder Lycoming installed. It was registered to its 'current owner' in 1976 and is still that way in 2022 despite the fact that the owner died in 2001. Current status unknown and TC has lost contact, so possibly a potential 'barn find'.

Built in 1948, imported in 1951 and here moored outside the current owner's summer cottage. It changed hands in 2014 and had its C of R cancelled in 2019 when based at Miami/MB. (Air-Britain members will know Ian Burnett as the long-serving Overseas Registers editor of Air-Britain News. He came along with me and was beside me when I took this shot. At that time he was the captain of B747 G-BMGS which, for technical reasons, made a fuel/crew slip stop at Winnipeg when westbound to LAX.)
