This Chipmunk was delivered in 1950 for the RCAF's "Refresher Pilot Training Plan" where reserve pilots would receive training as Cold War tensions increased. Operated by civil training schools, the program lasted until March 1958. Photographed here as a warbird in spurious RAF markings, it was exported to the USA in 1987.
