Delivered to the US Army in 1956 and flown in Vietnam during the war there. Here owned by Plummer's Lodge on Great Slave Lake/NT and over-wintering at Selkirk. It has the 1000 hp Polish engine mod. with 4-blade prop. Later converted to Texas Turbine engine and current as such in 2022.

Its long winter hibernation is almost over.

One of several Otters modified with a 1000 hp Polish built piston engine and 4-blade prop, but eclipsed by the more popular turbine conversions. Despite a horrendous crash in 1999 (engine failure), it survives in 2021 based in Alaska and now with a PT-6A engine.

So far, this Otter has escaped turbinization. It's far from beautiful with that huge PZL engine up front.
