This US-built Canberra was delivered to the USAF in Oct 1956 as a B-57E, then converted to EB-57E in Sep 1964. It was withdrawn from service and stored at MASDC 25 Jul 1979 with inventory code BM127. Retrieved from storage 11 Feb 1991 and trucked to the Castle Air Museum for restoration and display.

The English Electric Canberra beat the futuristic Martin XB-51 in a 1951 USAF contest, and was then built by the same US company as the B-57. EB-57Es were electronic warfare aggressor aircraft converted from B-57E target tugs.
