This 1995 built CL-415 crashed with 3392 flight hours on 1 Aug'05. After take-off from Ajaccio AP and a first scooping, Pelican 36 intervened with 2 other CL-415s a fire near Piétramaggiore (Corsica, France). After 8 passes, 36 began its last scooping in the Gulf of Revellata, it gained height and continued the circuit to arrive on the drop axis. 36 was directed to drop its load on the exact same location as one of the other CL-415s but things went wrong, it went off track, then the tail section of 36 separated from the fuselage due to possible high stress, it impacted the side of a mountain.

Became TC-TKM with the Turkish Air Force in Mar 2009.

Note that in this photo it does carry titles. To Turkey (as C-FTXB) in 2009 to train Turkish Air Force crews. Damaged whilst crew training at Izmir 9 Apr 2009 when the crew forgot to lower the gear. This incident was featured in the TV series Ice Pilot. Repaired and returned to Yellowknife. Back to Turkey and registered to the Turkish Air Force circa Nov 2009 as TC-TKJ.

This CL-215-II was delivered to the Hellenic Air Force on 23 June 1974. The aircraft was still operational with 355 MTM at Elefsis in summer 2021!

This water bomber is a former Yugoslavia Air Force aircraft (ex 72205) Yugoslavia AF. The Canadair was delivered to Greece with 355 MTM at Elefsis in late 1995. It carried serial 72205 up to late 1996. The Scooper was reregistered to 1110 since.

This is former C-GELJ that was delivered to Greece on 01 or 11 February 1999. The aircraft was assigned to 383 MEEA up to April 2006. The water bomber encountered problems after touch down on the water. A maintenance team tried to tow it to the beach, but it turned up-side down and started sinking on 25 April 2006. With the help of flotation balloons the CL-415 did not sink and was recovered to Halkida Shipyards. It was reported in a maintenance a hangar at Elefsis in late 2006. In that timeframe it was declared damaged beyond economical repair and subsequently dumped at Elefsis.
