The surviving fuselage of RAF Gnat F.1 XK741 has been restored as 'GN-101' of the Finnish AF. The original GN-101 was c/n FL.8 and is preserved in Finland.

Built by De Havilland at their Chester factory and now preserved at the Vantaa museum.

Ex Finnair OH-LCB. Served the Finnish AF from 07.63 until sale as PH-DDA in 12.83.

Folland-built Gnat F1 single-seat fighter on display at the 1957 Farnborough airshow before delivery to Finland.

The Adaridi monoplane was built in 1924, powered by a 12 h.p. Salmson engine and was tested by the Finnish Air Force, and their markings are worn on display in the museum.

Operated by the Swedish A.F. from 1938 to 1945. Used by F19 in Finland in Winter 1940, hence the swastika and code letter 'F'.

Although wearing Finnish contemporary markings - which had nothing to do with the Nazis - it was actually a Swedish air force unit which fought the Russians from Kemi in northern Finland during the final two months of the 1939-40 Winter War. It had twelve Gladiator fighters and four Hart light bombers with open cockpits. Swedish Harts were all powered by Mercury radial engines. Note the skis carried for use by the crew in an emergency. This airframe did not actualy serve in Finland.

A beautiful aeroplane in the Laatzen museum, near Hanover. It was built by CKD in Prague during WWII . Fitted with skis in winter, Finnish Fw 44s remained in service many years thereafter.
