Visiting El Toro for a touch-and-go, this S-3A of Air Anti-Submarine Squadron (VS) 33 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing (CVW) NINE and the USS Nimitz (CVN-68). The squadron, established on 1 April 1960 was decommissioned on 15 June 2005. It first flew the S-2E/G Tracker but transferred to the Viking in 1975. 160162 was moved for storage following service with VS-41 (NJ-737) to AMARG on 15 August 2006 and received inventory code AN2S0109.
