Written off on 14 March 1991 after a bird strike at 500 feet on final approach to St. Dizier. The Jaguar came down at Alincourt, some 10 miles from St. Dizier. The sole pilot in this dual seat aircraft ejected safely.

Unit is Escadron de Chasse (EC) 2/5 "Ile de France" This Mirage 2000C, later modified to 2000-5F, was transferred to Ukraine in early 2025. The aircraft crashed in Ukrainian service on 22 July 2025 during a combat flight mission. The pilot reported to the flight controller about a critical electronics malfunction. The plane fell into a deserted area and sank in a flooded crater in a swampy area. Pilot ejected to safety in time.

Just delivered to Orange, this Mirage 2000C was only painted with the EC2/5 code, but lacked markings on the tail. EC1/5 transitioned from Mirage F1C to Mirage 2000B/C in mid-1989. 58 was modified to Mirage 2000-5F and is still (2021) operational within the French Air Force.
