Ex USAAF 43-2033, impressed in Dec 1942. Transferred to Aero O/Y in 1948, which became Finnair in 1953. Ten years later this C-53C was converted to DC-3(CF) by replacing the C-53 para door with C-47 type double cargo doors. In 1970 it was sold to the Finnish Air Force as DO-11. It served with them until withdrawn from use in December 1984 and stored at Utti. Airveteran acquired it in April 1986 and they restored it to flying condition and painted it in its wonderful original Aero O/Y colours, as seen here on finals to Lelystad on a grey day.

Dakotas from Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark together with the Hungarian Li-2 seen in the early morning of 28th May. By the time the majority of people had arrived, the weather had deteriorated again.
