This MiG-21 was previously '086' with the HuAF and was one of the many withdrawn from use airframes that were stored at Papa AFB base. It now now wears this fake scheme, presumably as a result of some film.

If I understand correctly, this aircraft was painted into this scheme to play the role of an 'aggressor' aircraft for an air show held at Tázar in 1991. It is now on display at the super RepTar museum in Szolnok.

This Colt was delivered originally to the Hungarian armed forces in September 1988. It is now used by an aero club, presumably for parachute drops, and is pictured here parked up at Budaors.

Budaörs airfield now serves general aviation but it was once Hungary's only international airport. Planning for the airport started in 1935 and it was completed in the summer of 1937 becoming the home base of Malert (the forerunner airline of Maszovlet that later became Malév). Almost as soon as it opened, Budaörs was too small and lacked room for expansion. Ferihegy was ready in 1943 but severely damaged in WWII and did not open until May 1950 taking all airline traffic with it. At Budaörs the original 1936 terminal building still survives as a cafe and admin building.

This Colt was first noted as OK-VHA with Horizont Air in August 1990. It then went to Slovenia as S5-CAO and was operated by Falcon Air (presumably their logo is still in the tail) and a prospective sale to the Netherlands didn't go through. It is now operated by Fly Coop in Hungary and is pictured here, parked up at Budaors.

This faded ex-HuAF Fishbed-C is preserved at Budaors.

This Ka-26 was previously CCCP-19668 with the Ukranian division of Aeroflot from July 1976 9and then subsequently UR-19668). It is now on the Hungarian register and was parked up at Budaors during my visit.

This Colt was delivered to Hungary in March 1979 with a VIP interior and was used initially for Government duties. The plane's CofA expired in September 2007 and it was subsequently damaged in a storm (the lower port wing is bent upwards) resulting in it being stored at Budaors ever since.

24-8281 was registered in March 2013.

VH-BUI was imported from Indonesia (PK-SUW) in 2004.

VH-LQA was a visitor to Holbrook for the Henty Machinery Field Days, a major farm equipment expo. The airport is the closest since the expo site's own airstrip was closed over safety concerns.
