Restoration has begun and is expected to be completed by Summer 2002, at which time she will be flow across the pond to Europe.

Problems with receiving a standard airworthiness certificate from the FAA have halted restoration of this aircraft.

The cargo floor will be covered and carpeted and the seats installed. In addition, the plan is to add eleven square windows and replace the current eleven round windows with square ones.

Restoration by the SCFA was well underway when it was stopped in August 2002.

A Constellation in flight… Sheer grace and beauty. If only today's boring Boeing/Airbus shapes could be replaced by this...! This is what Miami still used to be like in the early 1990s. This Connie, and another one, then a DC-7 and a Mexican DC-6 would all pass this point on short final runway 09L within 20 minutes… Paradise!
