This is the prototype SF.340 and was built in January 1983 as a testbed. It had the Air Midwest livery applied to the starboard side and Crossair livery applied to the port side for the 1983 Paris Air Show, and full Comair livery applied for the 1984 Farnborough Air Show. The plane was wfu and stored at Linköping (LPI) in January1987 but is now preserved by the side of the E4 motorway. Note that the plane has Saab group promotional titles on the starboard side and Linköping titles on the port side.
