JA8625 was the second prototype MU-2, It made its first flight on March 27, 1964. and did a belly landing at Nagoya Airport on July 22, 1964. In 1965 the exterior was modified to an MU-2B and it was withdrawn from use. It was preserved on the roof of the terminal building with fake reg KA1969 and was removed in the early 1990s.
