Delivered to American Airlines as N7547A in May 1961 and traded in to Boeing in Feb 1963 as part of their B727 deal. To Pan Am as N780PA, sold in mid-1974 and registered N780EC for Ecuatoriana in Jan 1975. The registration HC-AZO allocated at the time of this photo was not taken up and the aircraft returned to the leasing company in Mar 1976. However in Apr 1977 after conversion to B720-023B{F) freighter configuration, it rejoined Ecuatoriana as HC-BDP and operated until wfu in May 1984. Stored at Davis-Monthan from Sep 1985 by Boeing as N720BG for KC-135 part stripping.
