Taken on charge by the USAF in 1952 as 52-6063. Transferred to the Civil Air Patrol as N5154G in 1971. Moved to a private owner in Alaska in 1977. Substantially damaged in an accident near Swikshak River, Katmai National Park, Kodiak, AK on 21 September 2006 while operating for Alaska Sportsman's Lodge. Descended abruptly into marshy terrain when turning downwind shortly after takeoff from a stream. The right wing folded. Pilot and three passengers were unhurt. One passenger was seriously injured. One trapped on the right side sustained sadly fatal injuries. This photo is copyright © David A. Montgomery, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
