At its base on Nootka Sound, Vancouver Island. To the US Army in 1955 as 54-1675. Became C-FOXD in 1973. With several operators in British Columbia, before joining Air Nootka in 1994. On 2 July 2013, declared as destroyed after landing hard in heavy sea swells near Escalante Point on the northwest coast of the Island. Coast Guard vessel rescued the pilot, 2 passengers and 2 dogs. The badly damaged remains were recovered to Sealand Aviation at Campbell River, BC and in 2015 registered as C-FOBF for rebuild. This photo is copyright © David A.
