One plane! The amazing Zwilling (twin) was two He 111s joined together, with a fifth engine in the middle, to produce a powerful glider tug. A dozen Zwillings were built or converted. Flying characteristics were not too bad apparently but operational use was minimal. This aircraft towed two Gotha Go 242 assault gliders from Istres, France, to Pomigliano, near Naples, on their way to the fighting on Sicily.
