En route to Hanoi after the fall of Dien Bien Phu. The French used some twenty-five S-55 helicopters in Indochina from September 1953 - both H-19B and HRS models. This should be BuNo 130232, ex US Marines - code VK is from call sign F-SDVK. Returned to the Americans in 1958, curiously receiving a newly created fiscal year 1952 USAF serial, 52-10991.
