In the 1937 King's Cup held at Hatfield on September 10th, Tommy Rose flew G-ADGP into 10th place at an average speed of 185.00 mph. The Aeroplane for 22 September 1937 also reported that Rose gave a really good show with the black and white Speed Six at the Eastbourne Flying Club's Display at Wilmington aerodrome earlier in the month - the colour quoted in the report confirming that this was G-ADGP.
