In 1920 Denmark bought six Avro 504Ks and five years later took delivery of one 504N, the two-seater trainer version with a bigger engine and stronger undercarriage. Three more 504Ns were built under licence by L.B.I. at the Naval shipyard in Copenhagen and two of the originally delivered 504Ks were also later modified into the N-version. The Danish Avro 504s served at the Naval bases in Ringsted and Avedoere. This is one of the three 504Ns built by L.B.I. and is on display with its original Armstrong Siddeley Lynx radial engine.
