Had several great flights with the Rochford Hundred Flying Group in this 1950 Autocar. Five days after my last trip, on 10 August 1972 was lost in a non-fatal crash in the Jura Mountains while flying between Geneva and Macon. Prior to joining the RHFG to replace the aircraft in which I experienced my first ever flight, Auster G-ANHX, it had spent the best part of 20 years based at Southend, first with ATEL, then with Southend Corporation This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
