13 Sep '56: TOS USAF as C-130A. Ca.1966: 374th Tactical Airlift Wing, Naha Air Base, Okinawa. Mar'68: While flying in operation Blind Bat in Vietnam, aircraft suffered serious damage from anti-aircraft fire, including inflight fire inside and outside aircraft. Sent back to USA. Nov'68 to Jun'69: Extensive repairs by Lockheed, converted to NC-130A. Feb'71: 21st TAS, Ching Chuan Kang Air Base, Taiwan. Dec'73: 64th TAS/928th Airlift Wing (AFRES), O'Hare Airport, Chicago, IL. By Apr'89: 176th TFS (ANG), Truax Field ANGB, WI. 19 Oct 89: Ferried to Dyess AFB, TX for Texas Museum of Military History.
