False marked 212 white, derived from its construction number, is in fact bort 01 red. The Lavochkin La-15 was an early Soviet jet fighter and a contemporary of the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15, and served from 1949-1953. Only 235 were built, as the Soviet leadership favoured the MiG-15bis. In September 1958, this La-15 was first reported at the excellent museum in Monino. This photo is copyright © Wim Sonneveld, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
