One Heinkel HD35 was bought by Sweden in 1925 for assessment. It was inteded to succeed the Albatros as a training plane, but as the engine laced power this fell through. The aircraft was given to the Swedish Army, from 1926 the air force and was designated Sk5, although it was never used as a trainer. Already in 1930, it was sold to a private buyer, changed hands several times before it was retired in 1940. In 1964, it was discovered in a barn in Smaland and came under the ownership of the excellent Flygvapenmuseum in 1987.
