In 1986 the 2nd Gruppo celebrated its 50 years and a special badge was applied to some aircrafts before the access door. At that time the 2nd Gruppo aircrafts wore identity codes in the range 46-20 to 46-39 and the 46 Brigata badge on the fin was trimmed in red colour.
