This is one of the assets that have been collected in San Damiano by the Italian Air Force, with the idea of a "Flying Museum". The aircrafts and helicopters should be preserved in a so called "flyiable condition", to be displayed also flying on future events. This one served in Grazzanise at 9° Stormo and still wears the unit badge in low viz scheme on the tail. The AB-212 fleet ceased operations in the Air Force with the phase-out cerimony in Grazzanise on 22nd February, 2024. It flew in Piacenza together with MM81160.
