Built as a F-4E-44-MC by McDonnell Douglas at Saint Louis in 1970, 69-7263 was first assigned to the 4th TFW, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. In 1972/73 it was deployed to Ubon RTAFB and in 1977 it was one of 116 undergoing conversion to F-4G Wild Weasel configuration with electronics to seek out SAM air defence radars. It then served various units at Nellis AFB, George AFB and Spangdahlem in Germany. Deployed to Bahrain with the 35th TFW in early 1991, it launched over 40 missiles during Desert Storm before transfer in 1992 to the 190th TFS/124th FG Idaho ANG at Boise.
