Photo taken two months after being recovered from Lake Michigan. 36291 was lost in the lake on 24 November 1944, the pilot was rescued unharmed. The large bracket attached to the firewall is a stand that will be used to position the a/c vertically while undergoing restoration. The aircraft is currently on display at the Valiant Air Command Museum in Titusville, Florida.
