This is SBD-2P BuNo 2173. I took this photo four days after it was recovered from Lake Michigan. There were 87 SBD-2 a/c built, of which 14 were the -2P version. 2173 was lost in Lake Michigan on 18 February 1944 while assigned to the Carrier Qualification Training Unit located at NAS Glenview, IL.
