Leased to Midway Airlines (N907ML) in 1990 for a year, this MD-83 went to Línea Aeropostal Venezolana (YV-44C) in 1992 on another one year lease. Beginning operations in June 1991, Reno Air added the aircraft to their fleet in 1992. Reno Air was bought by American Airlines in 1999 and merged. N836RA returned to the lessor in 2001 and stored with later leases to Avianca (2004 - 05) and Falcon Air Express in 2009. This included contract flying for Direct Air and a sub lease to DAE Dutch Antilles Express before it was stored at Tucson, AZ in 2014. The aircraft was scrapped at Tucson in 2021.
