Built for the US Navy as S2F-1 136474 in 1956. Redesignated as an S2F-1U then to a US-2A in 1962. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ in 1970. To the California Department of Forestry as N421DF in 1974 and stored at Sequoia. To Conair Aviation in 1988 and converted to Conair Turbo Firecat c/n 033. Registered as C-GHYQ then delivered to the Securite Civile as F-WEOJ then F-ZBFI in 1990. Destroyed by fire while on maintenance at Marseille in 1996.
