Taken on strength by the RCAF in June 1955, 18500 was converted to an ECM trainer (CF-100 Mk 5C) in 1964. Later upgraded with full ECM (Electronic Countermeasures) and EW (Electronic Warfare) equipment as a Mk5D, the aircraft was retired in July 1981.
