Originally serialled 44-26761 with the USAAF and converted post-delivery to an F-5G photo-reconnaisance aircraft. Post-war it flew on survey duties as N5054N, later CF-GKE and finally N6190C. It ended up abandoned in Paraguay in the mid-1960s and was recovered to the USA in 1972. Kermit Weeks acquired the dismantled aircraft in the early 1980s and registered it as N2897S. It remains stored in dismantled condition, as far as I am aware. This photo is copyright © Fergal Goodman, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
