Bell transferred the Model 412 production line from Hurst, Texas to Mirabel, Quebec in 1989. Canadian 412s received a new msn series in the 46xxx range. This is 412SP msn 36005 in the preflight hangar at Mirabel with the temporary registration C-GFNL. The first six Canadian-built 412s were delivered to Petroleum Helicopters, Inc. for offshore use in the Gulf of Mexico including this aircraft which became N22347. On August 19, 2004, N22347 made an emergency water landing with in the South Pass 65 offshore block after loss of tail rotor control. Minor damage. To XA-RSL. To N22347. Cancelled.
