Canadian Car & Foundry built Hurricane Mk XII delivered to the RCAF in September 1942 with serial 5447. Struck off strength in August 1946, the aircraft found a home with the privater collection of Harry Whereatt in 1971. Restored as 5447 AE-W of the RCAF, it flew again in 2000 with civil registration C-GGAJ. Acquired by Vintage Wings of Canada in 2006, it was moved by truck to Gatineau, PQ and emerged as KZ321.
