Locally built in Bankstown for the Royal Australian Air Force (A79-617), this Vampire T.35 was withdrawn in 1970. Sold to the USA the same year, it had several private owners as N11923. The aircraft returned to Australia in 1999 as VH-VAM where it underwent extensive restoration, flying again in 2001 and donated to the Temora Aviation Museum.
