Taxiing out from the Viking Outposts base at the end of the Howey Bay strip. About to depart from Red Lake and head up-country. At this time much of the activity of Viking's two Beavers - the other being C-GEZW - relates to the transport and support of canoeing parties. Taken on charge new by the US Army in 1958 as 57-2582. Imported to Canada in 1977, joining Direquair in Quebec as C-GGMB. Subsequently served with a number of operators across Quebec. Came to Red Lake with Wildcountry Airways in 1994. Transferred to Viking Outpost Cabins in 1997. This photo is copyright © David A. Montgomery, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
