BV256 was converted to a transport by BOAC and allocated the civil registration of G-AGFK in November 1942. It operated with the airline out of Asmara in modern day Eritrea. In August 1943 BV256 was returned to the RAF which operated it for a year with 525 Sqn. The Warwicks were replaced by Douglas Dakotas and scrapped.
